Lulada Club Launch Debut 45 at Brooklyn Bowl

"A new generation of salsa" -Rolling Stone

“This is a moment tattooed in NYC history as the first all-women salsa orchestra to record original music here” says vocalist & band co-leader Andrea Chavarro. “Our fans have experienced these songs live for the last 2 years, and we are excited for everyone to be able to dance to them at home, or wherever they are!”
The single was recorded the old fashioned way - live and all-analog at NY Hed Studio, produced by Rocio Verta-Wray. The beautiful random-color vinyl was pressed in Cleveland, Ohio by Gotta Groove Records, in a stunning sleeve designed by Alison Coté.

Lulada Club launched in 2022 to address the void of women ensembles within the live music scene in New York City. “Our biggest goal” explains band co-leader & saxophonist Katherine Ocampo, “is for people to have access to live music, culture, community, and representation for women in music festivals and other spaces.

“Without fail at every show” continues Chavarro, “several audience members always confirm just how necessary this project truly is

The band will launch the single In New York City on March 24, 2024 with headlining performance at “Women in Salsa & Brass - A Women’s History Month Celebration” at Brooklyn Bowl.
